The practice is effortless and leads to a state of ‘thoughtless awareness’ through the process of reducing the stress activity of the mind while still being in an alert state.
Meditation enables us to focus on the present moment rather than dwelling on the past or future. Through regular practice it helps the body, mind, emotion and soul to move beyond conscious thought into a greater state of relaxation.
Science also agrees that meditation is an excellent tool to tune your mind and body to reduce stress. Just twenty minutes a day has been proven to reduce blood pressure and the risk of heart disease.
It provides us with an opportunity to connect with your true self, your spiritual purpose and what is known as the universal knowledge. It is common to experience great insights or think of a solution to a problem – without even trying.
Through our regular daily practice at the retreat you can learn how to become mindful, to calm your thoughts, focus your mind and live in the present moment. You will be guided through various meditations to relax and energise your mind, bringing you closer to your inner self where you can find protection from the challenges of the real world.
